A team functions best when the players are committed to one another. Palm/Passion Sunday reminds us of the people’s wavering commitment to Christ. On Sunday, they welcome him with palm branches, but on Friday they yell “crucify him!” or deny that they know him. Jesus’ passion however reminds us of Christ’s unwavering commitment to humanity.
