The Rolling Stone

Passage: Mark 16:1-8 NRSV
Service Type:
In Mark’s account of the Easter story, the women prepare to anoint the body of the crucified Christ. They both take pause and wonder how they will roll away the large heavy stone that will surely block entry into the tomb. They go anyway. How would the story have changed if they let fear of that immovable stone stop them from witnessing the resurrection? What stone keeps us away from resurrection in our own lives? What if it’s really just a rolling stone?
