Laurie joined the Vista Ridge UMC staff in 2013 and oversees communications and marketing initiatives. She has more than 30 years of experience in the communications field, starting her career as a newspaper reporter and retiring as a communications director for city government. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in public relations from the University of Texas at Arlington and is a Certified Public Manager through Texas State University. A fourth-generation Texan, Laurie and her husband have one grown daughter. They have been members of Vista Ridge UMC since 2004. During her free time, Laurie enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, all things Disney, eating out with friends, watching TV, and going to the movies.
