The Sunday following Easter we read the story of doubting Thomas. He isn’t sure of all the stories of people seeing the Resurrected Lord. Finally, Jesus appears to him in the Upper Room but shares an important lesson, “Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have come to believe. (John 20:29)” Maybe the last few years have left a lot of us with doubt. Will things ever be the same again? Will the church survive? As we gather to celebrate 30 years of ministry at Vista Ridge UMC, let’s look boldly at “The Next 30 Years!”
