Domestic Violence 101 Workshops Set for September

The Board of Church and Society at Vista Ridge UMC is hosting a Domestic Violence 101 workshop this month as part of its focus on learning more about recognizing and ending domestic violence. The workshop will be held three times during September, both in person and online.
- Thursday, September 21 | 6:30-830 p.m. | Online
- Sunday, September 24 | 12:30-2:30 p.m. | Church
- Thursday, September 28 | 6:30-8:30 p.m. | Online
Through this work, the Board of Church and Society is partnering with one of our four core partners, Denton County Friends of the Family. Hillarye Hightower, a longtime church member and leader on the Servant Leadership Council, works at Denton County Friends of the Family and will lead the two-hour session.
Register for the workshop of your choice. The Zoom link will be provided after registration. The Board of Church and Society is also working on hosting a four-part series, called Faith for Freedom, which will be presented to clergy and laity in October. More details will be forthcoming.
