BIBLE STORIES FOR GROWN-UPS TO BEGIN MAY 7

A newly released book by pastor Josh Scott, Bible Stories for Grown-Ups: Reading Scripture with New Eyes, will be the topic of a six-week small group discussion on Sunday mornings beginning May 7. The group will meet from 9:45-10:45 a.m., and anyone interested is invited to participate.

About the Series | In the book, Josh Scott looks at familiar Bible stories and reveals new details and interpretations for an adult audience. This Bible study will consider stories many read as children, including Noah’s Ark, the binding of Isaac, Jonah, and the big fish, Jesus and Zacchaeus, Jesus healing a blind man, and the parable of the talents. Scott reimagines these stories and opens new visions for readers to understand well-known pieces of scripture in our current cultural environment.

Get Involved | The Vista Forum group meets in Rooms 108-109. James Kunke will lead the study; reading the book is not required for participation.
