When the vaccine first started rolling it, it felt like there was a light at the end of the tunnel. With the CDC announcement Thursday, it feels like we’re in that light and we arrived much sooner than we thought. In fact, our eyes might still be adjusting, but we can feel the fresh air and there’s excitement and relief.
This Sunday, we invite you to worship with us indoors at 8:30 a.m. or 11 a.m. Registration is no longer needed. We will be able to lift our voices together and praise God! Masks will not be required, but we ask that you wear one if you are not fully vaccinated. Similarly, if you feel more comfortable, continue to wear a mask or join us online for worship at either time. Please feel free to sit where you’d like in the sanctuary, but consider giving other people space if you are seated after them.
Throughout this journey, our church has followed the CDC guidelines in order to do our part to love our neighbor. While we can make these changes for worship, we still will be evaluating the next steps for our children’s and youth ministries. The CDC still recommends masks for unvaccinated people and therefore we will ensure we are following all necessary guidelines. We still aren’t at our final destination concerning COVID and we’ll continue to adapt as needed, but we’re grateful for the progress we’ve made so far.
I invite you to read the letter sent this afternoon from Bishop McKee.
