Are you a good listener? Do you have the gifts of caregiving and service? Do you want an opportunity to serve God, help others, and grow in your faith? Consider becoming a Stephen Minister to help make a difference in the lives of those going through difficult times.
Stephen Ministry training will be conducted this fall to educate individuals about the Stephen Minister program and develop their caregiving skills to serve their local church. Classes will be held at the church on Monday evenings beginning September 13.
A Stephen Minister walks alongside a hurting person to provide one-to-one, emotional and spiritual care—listening, empathizing, encouraging, helping process feelings, and connecting the person with God’s love. Serving in this role is an opportunity to put your spiritual gifts into action and touch people’s lives in powerful ways.
The need for Stephen Ministers has been steadily growing. So far this year our Stephen Ministers have been in ministry with more than eight individuals—both within and outside of our local congregation.
