Mary Beth Hardesty-CrouchAll Saints Sunday

This Sunday, we will be observing All Saints Sunday in worship. All Saints Day began as a day to honor Christians who were martyred during the persecution of the early Church. These earliest “saints” of the church pointed to Jesus Christ with their words, their choices, their actions and their lives, showing the way to the Good News.

As part of our observance of All Saints, we will honor the “saints” among us who have died during the last year with candles, music and prayer. There are number of Vista Ridge folks who have lost someone they love in the last year—mothers, fathers, grandparents, siblings, good friends—those who have pointed to Jesus Christ with their lives. So as you prepare to come to worship, I ask you to be in prayer for them and for all who grieve in these days.

I’m praying for you. I hope you’re praying for me.

Glory to God!
